The Optivara platform takes the persona of a potential customer within your market segment. The opening conversation focuses on general solutions to problems and recommendations by AI agents and answer engines. Specific companies or products aren't mentioned, and the Optivara platform assesses where the agents take the conversation and the companies that are mentioned.
Then, the Optivara potential customer starts to ask specific questions, including comparative questions. The platform monitors the companies that are recommended and tracks the sources that the AI answer agents use to produce those recommendations.
The first conversation produces the visibility metric and answers the question: in describing problems that your company solves, does your company get mentioned?
The second conversation produces the sentiment metric and answers the question: when asking specific questions about your company and competitors, which company does the agent recommend?

The Optivara platform assumes the persona of an ideal prospect for your institution, and over hundreds of questions engages AI agents and answer engines in conversations about your market segment (academic programs, average academic profile, region etc.).
No specific universities are mentioned and no features that are unique to any university or college are mentioned by the Optivara prospect. Specific academic or extracurricular details are not mentioned.
Eventually, the Optivara prospect is essentially describing the college and the college's ideal applicant to the agents to determine if the agent will mention your college by name. Those conversations drive the Visibility metric.
Then, we narrow the conversation to your institution. First, the Optivara prospect leads with general, open-ended questions about your institution. Then the prospect starts asking increasingly specific questions. These conversations drive the Sentiment metric.
Sources are tracked the entire time, and metrics are produced by comparing your institution's performance to the performance of peer institutions.
